Bright Smiles believes meaningful change begins by listening to the healthcare professionals and communities who understand their needs best—and then helping connect those needs with resources.

Our work in Uganda is focused on practical, sustainable improvements that strengthen healthcare and support the people providing and receiving care.

Through fundraising and the critical support and partnership of Mission Doctors Association, Bright Smiles has successfully raised $27,538 to fully fund a commercial washing machine and dryer for Our Lady of Good Health Hospital in Kabale, Uganda.

 

1 Major Hospital Project Fully Funded

 

What began as a mission to improve hospital sanitation has reached an exciting milestone. Bright Smiles has secured the funding needed for a commercial laundry system that will help strengthen infection prevention, improve patient care, and provide clean, reliable linens for hospital patients.

Both Phases Fully Funded

 

With funding secured for both the commercial washer and dryer, Bright Smiles is moving closer to helping the hospital replace labor-intensive handwashing and outdoor drying with a more reliable laundry system. The dryer will be especially important during Uganda's rainy seasons, when drying hospital linens outdoors can be difficult.

 

Building for the Future

 

Our impact goes beyond a single piece of equipment. Bright Smiles is building relationships with Ugandan healthcare leaders, developing partnerships, pursuing grant opportunities, and listening for the next place where resources, technology, or training can make a meaningful difference.
